EVHS presents: WWII Navajo Code Talkers

Wanda Patterson shares the fascinating story of 29 Navajos who created a secret code using words from their complex, unwritten language to baffle the Japanese enemy in the Pacific. The skill, speed, and accuracy of the “code talkers” is an amazing story of Navajo bravery and ingenuity which remained classified until 1968, but is now receiving the recognition it so richly deserves.  EVHS reception at 6 pm; presentation starts at 6:30 pm.

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention: This class guides participants in practicing slow, gentle movements and breathing techniques to improve balance, strengthen muscles, and increase flexibility. It helps alleviate symptoms of arthritis, lower the risk of falling, and improve overall health. Class sessions run for 1 hour and meet weekly for 8 weeks
